NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY WITH MICHAEL CUA

Vivid@Hyve is joined by guest speaker Michael Chua to honor Jose Sarria, a visible pioneer of the LGBTQ+ community, by sharing his experiences and legacy. Mr. Sarria’s bravery and activism have paved the way for many LGBTQ+ figures, including Harvey Milk.

San Francisco Pride Kickoff Party

Hyve was proud to be a presenting sponsor of the San Francisco Pride Kick Off Party at the Tenderloin Museum. Our vivid@hyve leadership team attended alongside Steve Ichinaga, President of Hyve Solutions, where they heard first-hand stories of the Compton Riots and the importance of the Tenderloin District to the transgender community. Steve acquired a limited-edition Pride Flag that measures approximately 101” by 71”. This Pride flag flew from Market Street lampposts during Pride Month Prior to 2005 when this model was retired. It was sewn by Tom Taylor who ran the SF Pride Markets Street Flag Program for decades. Join our vivid@hyve team members share on the topic of intersectionality, a term coined by Kimberly Williams Crenshaw in 1989. Intersectionality is the study of overlapping and intersecting social identities and related systems of oppression, domination or discrimination.

UPSTATE PRIDE SC

During the June Black Pride Weekend and October Pride Festival, Upstate Pride SC provided vivid@hyve with valuable opportunities to engage and connect with the local community in Greenville, SC. These events allowed vivid@hyve to interact, network, and foster connections within the vibrant LGBTQ+ community, demonstrating their commitment to inclusivity and support for Pride celebrations.

WORLD AIDS AWARENESS

vivid@hyve leads with compassion and uses its platform to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS to honor the lives affected by the epidemic and curb the stigma surrounding HIV response and global health.
