HYVE AND MICRON

Storage and system memory plays a critical role hyperscale applications. Memory performance, cost, capacity, and reliability must all be weighed within the context of a complete server architecture able to meet business objectives. Working with Micron, our partnership continues to yield phenomenal, flexible server solutions.

Micron 7450

The Micron® 7450 Series NVMe SSDs are at home in any datacenter environment thanks to it’s PCIe Gen4 throughput, low latency and high quality of service. Best for hyperconverged and cloud infrastructures and big data, Micron’s 7450 SSDs enable advanced storage solutions with multiple U.3, M.2 and E1.S form factors capacities up to 16TB, and multiple security options.

Paired with Hyve’s custom built servers, Micron’s SSDs provide the flexibility to support any type of workload from Edge to Cloud.

Micron DRAM

Today, Micron server memory offers particularly high value. For years, 8-Gbit memory devices enabled mainstream 16GB and 32GB modules. Those who wanted premium capacity and performance paid premium prices for 16-Gbit technology. Now, Micron is driving high-end 16-Gbit devices into the center of the server RDIMM market, enabling standard 64GB modules with zero performance penalty or price premium.

Hyve and Micron

This no-compromise doubling of memory density and capacity arrives just as CPU manufacturers are magnifying their per-socket core counts. Failing to maintain a suitable memory-to-core ratio can severely impair hyperscale and cloud applications. Higher memory capacity means greater CPU resource utilization, higher virtual machine densities, and the ability to radically grow workload sizes, as in data analytics and AI training.
